Itinerary
DAY 1 – Frankenmuth, MI
Our adventure begins as we travel north toward our first overnight in the picturesque town of Frankenmuth, lovingly known as “Michigan’s Little Bavaria.” We’ll enjoy an included dinner together this evening.
DAY 2 – Grand Hotel – Mackinac Island
We continue north to St. Ignace, where we board the ferry to Mackinac Island. Our first stop on island is the revered Grand Hotel, where we will enjoy its famous lunch buffet, with mouth-watering delights spread across 10 tables. Next, settle into your hotel accommodations for the next two nights and have the remainder of the day at your leisure to take in the island’s charming shops, scenic views and peaceful atmosphere.
DAY 3 – Horse-Drawn Carriage Tour – Mackinac Island
We begin our day with a horse-drawn carriage tour of Mackinac Island, then give you the rest of the day free to explore. Perhaps take a stroll along the car-free streets or rent a bicycle for a ride around the island!
DAY 4 – Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland – Frankenmuth, MI
We’ll have leisure time this morning to enjoy Mackinac before boarding the ferry that takes us back to the mainland. Back on the bus, we’ll drive across the Mighty Mac Bridge that connects Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsula. We’ll arrive Frankenmuth, we’ll visit Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland before checking into our hotel. Dinner is included this evening.
DAY 5 – Home
This morning, we begin our journey home with many memories of the natural beauty of Mackinac Island.
